Three locations are being developed in partnership with the 3rd & 4th Ward Aldermen and the Park District.

All three are empty city lots owned by the City of Chicago.  These unused lots will be turned into areas where our four-legged friends can run free, socialize, and enjoy fresh air.

3938-40 S. Indiana – 3rd Ward
3906 S. Lake Park Ave. (east of Mandrake Park) – 4th Ward
4149-53 S. Vincennes – 4th Ward

The City Council gave approval for the creation of these parks at the meeting on September 20, 2018.

The locations are the top vote-getters in a poll of BARC members.  Each is large enough to have separate spaces for small & large dogs, are convenient for people in the neighborhood, yet not too close to residential areas to be a disturbance.  The three locations are about a mile apart from each other.
